Hal and Johnny Lith bleach and redevelopment

"Hal and Johnny" Statement

Images are dilute lith prints, bleached and redeveloped.
The gentelman in the background is Hal Heller, good friend and business partner. Hal was quite frankly the best man I've known after my father. Hal was generous with others, always ready to help, always counseling someone, helping them find their dream. He'd look past everyone's faults and see what their potential was and how to actualize it. I miss his mischevious delight in sharing his sexual trysts and experiences. The hours of planning two separate businesses. The joy of finding an answer to a preplexing problem. The discussions about hypnosis and how to motivate folks. I miss Hal. If you knew him I'm sure you felt him to be a special friend capable of giving you his full attention...
In these images Hal is holding his lover Johnny. These images were used to test infrared and techpan film and to spotlight one of our, (The Professionals llc), products, an aluminum paddle with holes. The images are a success and the work done with lighting, development and printing were the foundation of my warm-tone printing workshops and exploration of methods of development for high acutance and pictoral tone on techpan film.
